Care that suits the material.
Read the product’s material and care notes before cleaning. Different stones, treatments, plating and adhesives can need different methods. For an unknown material or a loose setting, stop and ask a qualified jeweler before cleaning.
| Material or feature | Everyday care | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Sterling silver | Wipe with a soft cloth; store separately and dry. Use a silver cloth only if suitable for the complete piece. | Abrasive products on plated areas or delicate stones. |
| Gold-plated or other surface finish | Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth and follow the product’s cleaning instructions. | Polishing compounds that wear away the surface layer. |
| Pearls and delicate gems | Gently wipe after wear; keep away from perfume and household chemicals. | Ultrasonic and steam cleaning for pearls. |
| Stone settings and chains | Check for movement, damaged links or catching claws. Have loose settings checked before wearing. | Sleeping, sport, heavy lifting and impacts while wearing delicate jewelry. |
Put jewelry on after lotions and fragrance have dried. Separate chains and close their clasps before storage. If the piece is damaged, take clear photos and contact support rather than attempting a repair that could worsen the problem.
